Several young graffiti artists from our country and their guests from Berlin painted a wall in the Neimar Park, which is going to be named after the late ballet dancer Jelena Šantić in September this year. The graffiti they have created symbolically connects our capital and the capital of Germany. On the left hand side of the painting there is a TV tower, the symbol of Berlin, and since the TV tower in Avala was destroyed during the latest bombings, the symbol of Belgrade was represented by the city gates.

The idea was developed by the humanitarian organisation Group 484. Jelena Šantić was one of its founders, and there is also a park named after her in Berlin. As Hans Spoelstra from the German organisation Group 485 said, this graffiti represents an apology for the bombings of Belgrade in 1999 and their wish to legalise graffiti actions.
